Könneritz (also Konneritz , Konritz ) is the name of an old Thuringian-Meissnian noble family .

history

The family was first mentioned in a document in 1191. In particular, Theodericus de Konricz , wealthy in Biesern, Dölitz , Geithain , Greifenhain, Kohren , Teusdorf, Salis and Seitenhain appeared in documents in 1348/49. Könderitz , the ancestral home of the family, is in Zeitz . Other family residences were in Aschersleben , Bösau, Dessau , Eisleben , Frauendorf , Gettewitz, Groß Dölzig, Hedersleben , Heerde , Lossa , Lobstädt , Nöthnitz , Mäussdorf or Menssdorff, Weißenfels , Wiederau , Zossen .

Heinrich von Könneritz (around 1483–1551), lord of Lobstädt , was mining captain at Joachimsthal and mint master. His son Asmus (Erasmus) (1515–1563), also lord of Lobschwitz, was bailiff in Schneeberg in 1545 , district chief of the Leipzig or Eastern district in 1547, Saxon chief bailiff and councilor in Leipzig in 1548, chief court judge in Leipzig and counselor to Elector Moritz von Sachsen . He was instrumental in bringing about the peace and religious peace in Augsburg . His epitaph is in the anteroom of the Lobstädter Church.

In 1609 the Austrian line was elevated to the baron class and in 1852 the German family was elevated to the Saxon baron class, and in 1864 to the Saxon count .

Blazon : In the silver shield, three (2: 1) red hand rams with two handles (also known as stamps or scissors) with iron hoops on top and bottom. On the helmet seven alternating red and silver ostrich feathers, each with a gold-covered rose in mixed up colors. The blankets are red and silver.
