Hans Hunziker (engineer)

Hans Hunziker (born January 5, 1879 in Mosnang ; † March 14, 1951 in Bern ; legal domicile in Wynau ) was a Swiss engineer .

Life

The son of an embroidery manufacturer studied engineering at the Technical University of Munich from 1900 to 1902 . He worked in railway construction for several years . In 1908 he became a control engineer for railway construction and maintenance in the postal and railway departments . In 1926, Hunziker became director of the Office for Transport . In 1935 he became director general of the PTT administration and in 1943 director of the Central Office for International Rail Traffic . In 1941 the University of Bern awarded him an honorary doctorate .
