Hans Ippisch (born April 17, 1970 ) is a German manager. The former game developer and computer game journalist has been the managing director of Intellivision Entertainment Europe GmbH in Nuremberg since July 2019, responsible for the console and software manufacturer's European business.

Life

Hans Ippisch grew up in the Bavarian rain . In 1986 he started working as a game developer and signed a contract with the German company Rainbow Arts . For his first game, Soldier! , which was indexed by the Federal Testing Office for writings harmful to minors, the later known Chris Hülsbeck composed the background music. Other titles Ippisch contributed to include Bad Cat , Danger Freak , Rock 'n' Roll , Ugh! or Kangarudy .

Ippisch began studying economics at the University of Bamberg in 1990, at the same time working as an editor for several specialist magazines for Computec Verlag in Fürth , including for Play Time and PC Games . In 1992 he became editor-in-chief of Amiga Games , and in 1993 he also took over SEGA magazine , both of which were also published by Computec. He broke off his studies. In 1997, Ippisch launched the N-Zone , which quickly became the best-selling Nintendo magazine. As editor-in-chief, he played a key role in founding PlayZone in 1998. From 2001 until its termination in 2002 he was editor-in-chief of the Club Nintendo magazine, which Computec produced for Nintendo.

From 2000 he worked as the editorial director of Computec Verlag and founded a. a. the kids zone . In 2009 Ippisch became Publishing Director of Computec Media, at the beginning of 2012 he took over the position of COO , from January 2014 he was managing director of Computec Media GmbH and the subsidiaries 4Players , Golem Media , Aruba Events and CMS Media Services, from April 2017 as CEO / Chairman of the Management Board and member of the Group Management Board of the Marquard Media Group (Switzerland). In April 2018 he was elected to the board of the Association of Magazine Publishers in Bavaria (VZB). On July 1, 2019, he moved to the US company Intellivision Entertainment and became the founding managing director of the European subsidiary.
