Hans Jünemann

Hans-Joachim Jünemann (born February 2, 1926 - † August 5, 2012 ) was a German football goalkeeper. For activist Brieske-Senftenberg he played from 1953 to 1962 in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

Hans Jünemann played his first league game with the company sports association (BSG) activist Brieske Ost on March 1, 1953 in the encounter between BSG activist and Babelsberg rotation (6: 1) as a representative of the regular goalkeeper Johannes Lawecki . In the remaining six match days up to the end of the season, Jünemann played seven more times. After Lawecki went to West Germany in the summer of 1953, Jünemann became the first goalkeeper for Briesker and played 27 of the 28 league games in the 1953/54 season. Until the 1957 season (change to the calendar year rhythm of the game) Jünemann remained the regular goalkeeper of the league team, which had appeared as SC activist Brieske-Senftenberg since 1954. In the season of 1958 he was initially absent from the squad of the SC activist and instead played six point games with the second-rate GDR league team of SG Dynamo Eisleben . He only returned to Brieske in September 1958 and played six league games for the sports club, while Karl-Heinz Bergmann, who was ten years his junior, had previously been in goal. With him, Jünemann also fought a competitive battle in the 1959 season, which he won with just 14 to 13 appearances. In 1960, Jünemann finally lost his regular place to Bergmann with only six league stakes, and in the two following seasons he was only used three or once. Jünemann played his last league game on September 30, 1962 at 3-6 at Chemie Halle . It was his 141st league appearance within ten seasons. It was also the last league season for the SC activist, because he was relegated at the end of the season and his soccer section was transferred to SC Cottbus . Jünemann joined the third-class team of the BSG activist Brieske-Ost for the 1963/64 season , with whom he made promotion to the GDR league. In the GDR league, he was seven times in the Briesker Tor. When the BSG activist had to relegate after a year, the 39-year-old young man's time in higher-class football was finally up.
