Hans Joachim Barth

Hans Joachim Barth (born February 6, 1927 in Leipzig , † 2001 in Willingshausen ) was a German church musician, author and composer.

Life

After studying church music, school music and mathematics in Berlin, Hans Joachim Barth taught for more than 30 years at the Melanchthon School in Steinatal near Schwalmstadt .

From 1950 to 1956 he was organist in Berlin-Wannsee and from 1956 to 1958 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. In 1958 he moved to the castle church in Ziegenhain in North Hesse . Later he led several choirs and worked as a church musician in the town church in Treysa .
