Hans Jung (economist)

Hans Jung (born January 23, 1944 in Vienna ) is a German economist and university professor.

Life

Jung studied from 1965 to 1968 at the State Engineering School for Mechanical Engineering in Siegen , a forerunner of the University of Siegen . He worked as an engineer at Schloemann-Siemag and from 1970 to 1972 at Daimler-Benz . In 1973 he began studying economics at the Technical University of Berlin , which he completed in 1976 with a degree in business administration. The following year he became a graduate engineer. In 1978 he returned to Daimler-Benz AG. In 1980 Jung was awarded a Dr. rer. pole. PhD. From 1988 to 1997 he taught general business administration and ergonomics at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences , Mönchengladbach location. At the Harz University of Applied Sciences , Wernigerode, he worked in 1997/1998 and taught general business administration, accounting / controlling . Since 1998 he has been Professor of General Business Administration and Personnel Management at the Lausitz University of Applied Sciences , Cottbus.

His textbook Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre was published in the 12th edition in 2010 (13th edition with minor changes 2016, ISBN 978-3486763768 ); Personalwirtschaft reached its ninth edition in 2010.

Hans Jung is a committed and powerful chess player. Since 1974 he has been a member of the Schachfreunde Siemensstadt association. His highest rating was 2135 in October 2003.
