Towards the end of the Second World War , the factory was destroyed by bombing, and after the end of the war, construction work began. In 1951, the paper mill in Kaufbeuren went into operation with a daily production of four to five tons of paper. The workforce increased to 60 employees. In 1953 the corrugated cardboard production moved to Memmingerberg and the construction of a second corrugated cardboard production plant began. The total number of employees in the plants in Memmingen, Memmingerberg and Kaufbeuren rose to 100 people.

In an expansion phase, a new corrugated cardboard machine and other machines were installed in the 1960s. Another plant was built in Buxheim near Memmingen. The number of employees in corrugated cardboard production increased to 260. A larger paper machine was put into operation at the Kaufbeuren paper mill. In Memmingen, a new plant was built in the north industrial area; the plant in Memmingerberg was given up. In 2011 the plant in Buxheim was expanded, in 2012/13 the main plant in Memmingen.

Branch plants

New plants were acquired in the 1980s, and in 1982 the sheet processing company Helber Verpackungen GmbH in Haiterbach in the Black Forest was added. The paper mill in Kaufbeuren was expanded to include a second paper machine . In 1984 the plant in Memmingen was expanded and the focus on folding box production.

The portfolio for packaging was expanded through the participation in the company Skinetta Pac-Systeme, which previously operated as Josef Kiener GmbH in Ottobeuren. In 1990 a new administration building was inaugurated in Memmingen. Another series of acquisitions in the USA followed up to 2006.

In 2007 Kolb Wellpappe separated from Skinetta Pac Systeme GmbH & Co. KG due to unsatisfactory profits and sold it to Otto Christ AG.

In Kaufbeuren , two old paper machines were shut down and replaced by a new one in 2008.
