Hans Kulla

Hans Kulla (* 1910 in Essen ; † August 19, 1956 in Bamberg ) was a German composer , music teacher and church musician .

He set travel songs to music that were sung in the youth movement , as well as children's songs and wrote sacred choral music. He published collections of songs and at conferences, including those in Haus Altenberg and Feuerstein Castle , promoted the resurgence of youth culture after the Second World War .

Stages in life: Studied at the Cologne University of Music , trainee music in Halberstadt , teacher in Suhl , elementary school teacher in Faulbach am Main, youth work at the Archdiocese of Bamberg , music pedagogue at the German Gymnasium, now ETA-Hoffmann-Gymnasium and lecturer at the Institute for Teacher Training in Bamberg.

Kulla was married and lived in Bamberg , he had six children.
