Hans Litterscheid

Hans Litterscheid (born December 24, 1921 in Richrath ; † January 3, 2014 in Langenfeld ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, he completed a commercial apprenticeship . He was a sales correspondent until 1944. After military service and imprisonment, Litterscheid was an administrative clerk from 1946 to 1948 and then a commercial clerk, most recently as an authorized signatory .

He became a member of the CDU in 1946. He was active in numerous party committees.

MP

From May 28, 1975 to May 28, 1980 and from May 30, 1985 to May 30, 1990 Litterscheid was a member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in the eighth electoral term in constituency 051 Rhein-Wupper-Kreis I and in the tenth electoral term through the state list of his party.

He was a member of the district assembly of the Rhein-Wupper-Kreis from 1952 to 1956. He was a member of the city council of Langenfeld from 1956 to 1989, and from 1961 to 1989 he was mayor here.

Others

Litterscheid was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class and an honorary citizen of the city of Langenfeld.

Litterscheid fell in mid-December 2013, which necessitated inpatient treatment at the St. Martinus Hospital in Langenfeld. He died there on January 3, 2014.
