Hans Möller (politician)

Hans Möller (born November 25, 1926 in Schwerin , † December 6, 2008 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) was a German party functionary of the GDR block party NDPD . He was chairman of the NDPD in the Frankfurt (Oder) district .

Life

Möller, the son of a bank employee and a housewife, attended elementary school and the Schliemann grammar school in Schwerin. In 1944 he was first drafted into the Reich Labor Service , then drafted into the Wehrmacht , did military service and was taken prisoner by the British , where he remained until 1947.

In 1947 he returned to Schwerin and in 1948 became a member of the NDPD. In 1949 he made up his Abitur and then completed an apprenticeship as a photo assistant . Between 1959 and 1964 he completed a degree in economics with a degree in economics.

From 1952 Möller was a full-time NDPD functionary in various functions in the districts of Schwerin and Cottbus . From 1952 to 1961 he was NDPD district secretary in Schwerin, then from 1961 to 1964 he was deputy chairman of the NDPD district committee in Cottbus. From 1964 to 1985 he was finally chairman of the NDPD district association Frankfurt (Oder) and from 1967 to 1987 a member of the NDPD main committee. From 1964 to 1985 he was also a member of the Frankfurt (Oder) district assembly. In 1985 Möller retired as a disability pensioner.

Hans Möller was married and had three children.

Möller was an enthusiastic amateur photographer. A large part of his extensive collection of negatives and slides as well as their prints from 1985 to 2008 is in the Frankfurt (Oder) city archive.
