Hans Muchitsch (athlete)
Johann "Hans" Muchitsch (born September 30, 1932 in St. Andrä , Carinthia ; † May 10, 2019 ) was an Austrian decathlete , hurdler , long jumper and sprinter .
Career
At the European Athletics Championships in 1954 in Bern, he was eliminated in the first round over 110 m hurdles , in the long jump and in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
In the decathlon he came twelfth at the 1958 European Championship in Stockholm and 17th at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome.
He was Austrian champion in the decathlon seven times (1954, 1957–1962), six times over 110 m hurdles (1954, 1956–1959, 1961) and in the long jump (1954, 1957–1961) and five times over 400 m hurdles (1956–1960 ).
