Hans Pfeil (born March 26, 1903 in Freiberg , † November 28, 1997 in Bamberg ) was a German Christian philosopher of the 20th century.

Life

He studied philosophy, psychology and theology in Freiburg , Munich and Münster and received his doctorate in 1926 , Dr. phil. at the University of Munich . He received in 1929 in the cathedral of Bautzen the priesthood and was chaplain in Chemnitz . After his habilitation in philosophy in 1932 at the University of Würzburg , he taught there from 1932 to 1940 as a private lecturer and adjunct professor . After receiving his doctorate in 1936 as Dr. theol. from 1940 to 1947 he was associate professor and full professor in Münster in 1946 and since 1947 full professor of philosophy in Bamberg.
