Hans Rudolf Uthoff

Hans Rudolf Uthoff (born August 23, 1927 in Hanover ) is a German photojournalist .

Life

Uthoff trained as a glass painter in Münster and then worked in the Cologne Cathedral building works before turning to photography, his great interest. Initially, he worked as a PR photographer for the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes in Germany. From 1957 he worked as a press photographer in the German steel industry and in mining , from 1968 he was active as a photo journalist for the Hamburg-based Jahreszeiten Verlag . In 1971 he started his own business and founded Colorvision , a photo reportage company in Hamburg . He traveled to around 120 countries. Uthoff's works have been published in numerous international magazines and newspapers as well as in books and have been shown at many exhibitions. a. the world exhibitions of photography in 1968 and 1981 as well as the World Press Photo competitions in 1956, 1963 and 1965. Its extensive black and white and color photo archive is now managed by V-like-Vintage GmbH in Hamburg.
