Hans Schäfer (doctor)

Hans Schäfer (born October 22, 1928 - † December 10, 2013 ) was a German medic.

Life

Hans Schäfer was a specialist in surgery and anesthesia, chief physician of the rehabilitation clinics for spinal cord injuries and medical director of the Hohe Warte clinic in Bayreuth . He was an adjunct professor at the Technical University of Munich .

He was colonel doctor of the reserve and from 1990 to 1994 deputy chairman of the Upper Franconian Reservists' Association . He had been a member of the Lions Service Club since 1976.

In 1975, Hans Schäfer was appointed Knight of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem by Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien Cardinal de Fuerstenberg and invested in Cologne Cathedral on December 6, 1975 by Franz Hengsbach , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy . He was last Grand Commander of the Order.
