Hans Solereder
Hans Solereder (born September 11, 1860 in Munich , † November 8, 1920 in Erlangen ) was a Bavarian, German botanist and university professor . Its official botanical author abbreviation is “ Soler. "
Life
From 1880 Solereder studied natural sciences at the University of Munich , among others with Ludwig Radlkofer , where he was awarded a Dr. phil. received his doctorate. From 1886 to 1890 he was assistant, from 1888 private lecturer at the botanical laboratory. In 1890 he became a curator at the Botanical Museum in Munich. In 1899 he was appointed associate professor and in 1901 as full professor of botany at the University of Erlangen , where he was also director of the botanical garden.
Solereder undertook research trips to the USA ( Texas , California , Yellowstone National Park ). He worked on the families of the dicotyledons according to their properties in the sense of Ludwig Radlkofer.
