Hans Stiff

Hans Stiff (born August 8, 1927 in Saarbrücken ; † July 18, 2016 ) was a German journalist and newspaper publisher.

Life

Stiff was drafted as an anti-aircraft helper as a youth at the end of World War II . He processed what he had experienced in the book Feuer frei - Kinder! He studied business administration in Bordeaux and graduated as a business graduate of the University of Saarland from. He then lived in Bonn, Mainz and Innsbruck. At the University of Innsbruck , he was in 1954 for Dr. rer. oec. PhD . In the same year he became a member of the Corps Rhaetia . In the second half of the 1950s he was managing director of the CDU Saar in the state parliament of Saarland . From 1960 he worked for the Saarbrücker Zeitung for thirty years , most recently as sole managing director. From 1979 to 1990 he was the management spokesman. From 1978 to 1982 he was chairman and then deputy chairman of the Association of Newspaper Publishers in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland . He was a member of the executive committee of the Federal Association of German Newspaper Publishers from 1982 to 1990 as vice-president. From 1990 to 1992 he was a co-opted member for journalism training issues.
