Hans Susemihl
Hans Friedrich Wilhelm Martin Susemihl (born June 5, 1888 in Lambrechtshagen , Mecklenburg-Schwerin ; † December 12, 1972 in Emden , Lower Saxony ) was Lord Mayor ( SPD ) of the seaport city of Emden in East Friesland after the Second World War .
Life
During his term of office, a large part of the reconstruction of the city, which was badly damaged during the war, and the first economic boom in the time of the economic miracle took place . In 1964, after 14 years in the office of Lord Mayor, he was replaced by Hermann Schierig , accompanied by disputes .
In 1981 the city 's hospital was renamed Hans-Susemihl-Krankenhaus in honor of Susemihl . Today the facility is officially called Klinikum Emden Hans-Susemihl-Krankenhaus gGmbH .
