Hans Ulrich Nübel
Hans Ulrich Nübel (born May 15, 1933 in Stuttgart ; † June 11, 2017 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German Protestant pastor , high school teacher and university teacher . He is known for his collaboration in Bible translation projects (including the Gute Nachrichten Bibel ) and for building up the German-speaking communitarian network .
Life
Nübel studied Protestant theology in Tübingen and Bonn from 1953 to 1957 . From August to October 1954 he took part as a scholarship holder in a teaching course at the German Evangelical Institute for Classical Studies in the Holy Land under Martin Noth . In 1957 he passed the first theological examination at the Evangelical Church in Württemberg . In 1959 he received his doctorate in theology at the University of Bonn on the subject of David's rise in early Israelite historiography . In the same year he took the major Hebraicum in Tübingen . Afterwards he was vicar and parish administrator in the regional church until 1960, and until 1963 boarding school teacher for Hebrew, Greek, philosophy and sport at the Evangelical Seminary in Blaubeuren . From 1963 to 1969 he was the first pastor of the Württemberg Bible Institute in Stuttgart. He then taught religion, sport and mathematics at the Albert Einstein High School in Böblingen until 1974 . He was pastor of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg until 1983, then he was accepted as a pastor in the Evangelical Church in Baden . From 1974 to 1998 he was a professor at the College for Social Work, Diakonia and Religious Education of the Evangelical Church in Freiburg , where he taught religious education and social ethics . From 1984 to 1992 he was rector of this university of applied sciences, and he founded the institute for further education there .
Hans Ulrich Nübel was married to the teacher Irmengard Geiger since 1963, who holds a number of honorary offices in Freiburg (ABC circle, parish east, city synod, education committee, city youth welfare committee). Their marriage had four children.

- since 1988 collaboration with Irmengard Nübel on a project for the integration of disabled and non-disabled children (kindergarten and Maria Montessori school)
Services
Between 1963 and 1974, Nübel worked as an editor and author on Bible projects of the Württemberg Bible Institute and the Evangelical Church in Germany , working on the school Bible , the revision of the Luther Bible , the Good News Bible (NT 68) as well as various work aids (Bible week books, Bible report ) With.
He worked with the American sociologist Amitai Etzioni, edited and commented on his works in Germany. As a result, he founded the German-speaking Communitarian Network in 1998 and was its 1st chairman.
