Hans Wildegans

Hans Wildegans (born February 22, 1888 in Groß-Mantel, Neumark , † July 15, 1967 in Berlin ) was a German surgeon.

Life

Wildegans became a senior physician in the surgical department at the Am Urban hospital in 1928 . Habilitated at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin since 1925 , he became an associate professor for surgery in 1930 . From 1929 to 1933 he was director of the Nowawes District Hospital near Potsdam . From 1933 to 1935 he was chief physician of the second surgical department at the Friedrichshain hospital . In 1935 he changed to the Diakonissenkrankenhaus Bethanien as head of the hospital , which he headed as medical director until 1961 . His scientific work mainly concerns abdominal surgery , blood transfusion and urology . He developed the endoscopy of the bile ducts .

From 1953 to 1955 he was chairman of the Berlin Surgical Society . He later became her honorary member.
