Hans Winklhofer

Hans Winklhofer (born December 25, 1910 in Buchet , today Bad Griesbach im Rottal ; † August 3, 1993 in Johanniskirchen ) was a German politician ( Bavarian Party , CSU ).

Life

Winklhofer attended elementary school and elementary pre-education school in Engertsham in the Passau district . He first worked in his parents' Otto Wimmer engine factory in Sulzbach am Inn , before he finished an apprenticeship with the assistant test. In 1932 he started to work in a food factory, and in 1936 he became self-employed. During the Second World War he was deployed on the Eastern and Western Fronts, most recently as a sergeant major. After the end of the war, he rebuilt his business. In 1957 Winklhofer was elected mayor of Johanniskirchen and the Passau district council. From 1962 to 1974 and again from 1977 to 1978, as a replacement for Klaus Rose , he was a member of the Bavarian state parliament . He initially represented the Bavarian Party before moving to the CSU in 1964.
