Hans Wolfgang Behm

Hans Wolfgang Behm , pseudonym : John Elliot Emerson , (* December 20, 1890 in Karlsruhe , † April 30, 1973 in Berlin-Spandau ) was a German scientific and esoteric writer .

Life

He was the son of the Karlsruhe manufacturer and engineer Otto Behm and his wife Anna nee Fleckh. After graduating from secondary school in Karlsruhe, Hans Wolfgang Behm studied natural sciences and philosophy at the universities of Heidelberg, Freiburg im Breisgau and Hamburg. He received his doctorate as Dr. phil. From 1922 to 1924 he worked as assistant and head of the biological department at the German research institute in Karlsruhe. He then worked as a freelance writer and moved to Berlin-Mariendorf, Ankogelweg 90.

Hans Wolfgang Behm became known especially as the author of several popular scientific works, mainly on zoology, but also on Hanns Hörbiger's world ice theory and other esoteric teachings of the time. He wrote for the Kosmos publishing house, among others.
