Hurlach is a district of the Hurlach municipality of the same name in the Upper Bavarian district of Landsberg am Lech . The Hurlach colony should not be confused with the parish village of Hurlach.

geography

The colony is located about two kilometers east of the parish village on the western gravel terrace of the Lech im Lechfeld . The colony consists of several groups of farmsteads that stretch about four kilometers along the road between Kaufering and Klosterlechfeld . Federal highway 17 and the Bobingen – Landsberg am Lech railway line run immediately to the west .

history

After the bad harvest of 1846 and the abolition of the manorial rule in 1848 , colonists from the Palatinate and Alsace settled here and bought the cheap and poorly productive pastures of the Hurlach farmers. The first courtyard was built in 1850, in 1860 the colony already consisted of 20 houses.
