Hans future

Hans Future (born September 16, 1929 in Freital ) is a former officer of the National People's Army (NVA) of the German Democratic Republic (GDR). Most recently he held the rank of major general .

Life

The son of a shunting worker completed an apprenticeship as an electrician from 1944 to 1947 after completing his eighth school education .

In 1947 he joined both the SED as well as on April 1, the armed organs at where he was until 1949 policeman at the headquarters of the German people police served (HVDVP). He then worked from 1949 to 1950 in the management department of the training headquarters . From 1950 to 1960, Zukunft served as an officer in the Ministry for State Security , where he was, among other things, Head of Division I of Military District III. As an officer in special operations (OibE), he rose to a deputy head of department in the Political Headquarters (PHV) of the Ministry for National Defense (MfNV) in 1960 , which he remained until 1965. Following this, Zukunft was department head in the PHV of the MfNV until 1972. From 1972 to 1990 he was head of the 10th administration of the PHV. On October 1, 1974, he was appointed major general by the chairman of the GDR's National Defense Council , Erich Honecker . On April 30, 1990, Zukunft was released from the NVA.
