Hans von Kahlenberg , pseudonym for Helene Keßler born. von Monbart (born February 23, 1870 in Heiligenstadt / Thuringia ; † August 8, 1957 in Baden-Baden ) was a German writer . She was best known for her bestseller Ahasvera (1910). Her works Nixchen caused a sensation because of the erotic subject matter . A contribution to the psychology of the higher daughter (1899) and Der Fremde (1901).

Life

Helene von Monbart was born as the daughter of the officer Erich von Monbart and taught at the Keppel Abbey in Westphalia. She then went to boarding schools in France and England . From 1888 she worked as a teacher. In 1908 she married the Prussian forester Wilhelm Keßler. She liked to travel and stayed in Switzerland for a long time and often in Paris .

Her work Nixchen , which had a psychological-erotic theme, caused a stir .
