Carl Nicholas Leonhard Hans Prittwitz (born 18 . Jul / the 30th July 1833 greg. In Tsarskoye Selo , Russian Empire ; † 2 jul. / 14. January 1880 greg. In St. Petersburg , Russian Empire) was Major General à la suite of the Imperial Russian Army of Tsar Alexander II.

Prittwitz came from the old, widely branched Silesian noble family of the von Prittwitz and was the son of the Imperial Russian General of the Cavalry and later Baron Carl von Prittwitz , Count Sabalkanski, Majorate Lord on Sabalkansk (Kr. Jamburg), and Louise de Grasse.
He married on July 26th . / 7th November 1860 greg. in St. Petersburg (Russia) Sophie Galachow (born 13 . jul / 25. September 1837 greg. in St. Petersburg; † 8 jul. / 20th November 1837 greg. ibid), from Russian nobility , the daughter of the imperial Russian general and adjutant general to Tsar Alexander Galachow and Sophie Miatlew (from Russian nobility).
He was the brother of the Imperial Russian Lieutenant General à la suite Nicolaus von Prittwitz .
