Hans von Zwierlein

Hans Georg Ludwig Freiherr von Zwierlein (born April 16, 1835 in Wiesbaden , † June 16, 1886 in Geisenheim ) was a lawyer, Nassau squire and politician and former member of the estates of the Duchy of Nassau .

Hans von Zwierlein was the son of the lawyer, landlord and delegate Hans Constantin von Zwierlein (* October 21, 1802 in Wetzlar; † April 1, 1863 in Geisenheim) and his wife Louise Schenk zu Schweinsberg (* October 5, 1809; † 18. November 1840). Hans von Zwierlein married the Catholic Josephine nee Höß (or Höss) (born March 29, 1845 in Kronach; † January 12, 1912 in Geisenheim), the daughter of the hop trader Georg Höss, on September 21, 1871.

Hans von Zwierlein studied law at the University of Giessen and graduated with a doctorate in law. jur. from. He was appointed chamberlain and was later a privateer and collector of art and technology objects. After the death of his father in 1863, he became a hereditary member of the first chamber of the estates of the Duchy of Nassau. In 1865 and 1866 he took part in the deliberations of the Chamber. His mandate ended in 1866 with the annexation of the Duchy of Nassau by Prussia .
