Hansheinrich Trunz

Hansheinrich Trunz (born September 16, 1908 in Norkitten , Insterburg district , † November 23, 1994 in Clausthal-Zellerfeld ) was a German agricultural journalist and cultural historian .

Hansheinrich Trunz was a son of August Trunz (1875–1963), who from 1907 to 1935 was general secretary of the Central Agricultural Association in Allenstein . In 1931 Hansheinrich Trunz graduated from the Herder-Oberrealschule in Mohrungen . He worked as an apprentice in agriculture before moving on to study at Königsberg went where he in 1938 with Werner Kirsch Dr. rer. nat. PhD. In order not to have to work for the Reichsnährstand , Trunz passed the state examination for teaching at the Lauenburg College for Teacher Training in 1939 . He worked at the agricultural schools in Sensburg and Preussisch Holland and then went to the agricultural advice center of the Thomas phosphate factories in Königsberg . During the Second World War Trunz fell into Soviet captivity, from which he was dismissed sick 1948th

He now resumed his old job in Düsseldorf as an advertising manager. In 1973 he retired and lived in Mettmann until the death of his wife in 1989 , then with his older son in Clausthal-Zellerfeld.

Hansheinrich Trunz was a co-founder of the Association of German Agricultural Journalists (VDAJ).

Together with his brother Erich , he maintained and expanded his father's Prussica collection and in 1978 handed it over to the University and State Library of Münster .
