Hans-Joachim "Hansi" Alpert (born May 3, 1932 in Stendal ) is a former German soccer player who spent most of his career at VfL Osnabrück .

Life

Alpert was born on May 3, 1932 in Stendal and grew up there. In October 1950 Alpert fled to Osnabrück in the Federal Republic of Germany . Here he worked as a master plumber in his own company until he retired.

He is married to Ingeborg Alpert, the sister-in-law of his former teammate Reinhard Haseldiek .

Career

Alpert began his professional career at his home club BSG Lok Stendal . On September 10, 1949 (2nd matchday) he made his debut in the GDR league in a 2-2 draw against ZSG Industrie Leipzig . Two game days later on October 2, 1949, he scored his first goal against ZSG Union Halle to make it 1-1. In total, he came to 23 missions and scored ten goals. In the following season, the winger was even able to score eight times in nine games. During this time he made his debut at the age of 18 in the B- selection of the GDR .

In October 1950 Alpert fled to the FRG . Here he was discovered by the former VfL Osnabrück player Hans Kovermann , who suggested him to Heinrich Hüggelmeyer , the club's manager at the time, and finally signed him. On his debut on November 20, 1950 against Bremerhaven 93 (5: 1) he scored two goals within a minute.

He played 203 times in the Oberliga Nord .

Trivia

Hansi Alpert had a short TV appearance on the show Deutschland sucht den Superstar on January 10, 2015 , when his granddaughter Anna Carina Alpert sang at the casting, brought her grandfather into the studio and introduced him to the jury.
