Hansjoachim Hahn

Hansjoachim Hahn (born November 14, 1934 in Dresden ) is a former German politician ( SED ) and economic functionary. He was general director of the VEB Kombinat Elektromaschinenbau Dresden and 1989/1990 first secretary of the SED district management in Dresden .

Life

Hahn passed his Abitur in 1953 after attending elementary and high school . In 1953/54 he worked as an assistant fitter at VEB Chemische Werke Buna . From 1953 to 1959 he studied at the Technical University of Dresden with a degree in engineering economics . From 1959 he was an employee, from 1960 department head and from 1961 production director of the VEB transformer and x-ray plant "Hermann Matern" in Dresden. From 1964 to 1973 he finally worked there as plant director. In 1970 he received his doctorate along with Helmold Biehl and Ulrich Beautiful man at the Business Administration Faculty of the Technical University of Dresden to Dr. oec. (Dissertation: The rational organization of decision-making preparation based on division of labor as a management task of the works director and the necessary conditions presented using the example of the VEB Transformatoren- und Röntgenwerk Dresden ). In 1971 he received the facultas docendi , from 1982 he was an honorary lecturer and from 1983 an honorary professor at the TU Dresden. In 1989 he was appointed full professor for socialist business administration. From 1969 to 1981 he was chairman of the Dresden district board of the Chamber of Technology . From 1974 to 1988 Hahn was General Director of VEB Kombinat Elektromaschinenbau Dresden.

During his time as general director, Lothar Loewe made him the central figure of the film feature The FRG is for me abroad , which was first broadcast on November 10, 1976 on ARD .

Hahn, a member of the SED since 1955, was a member of the SED district leadership in Dresden from 1976 to 1989. In November 1989 he succeeded Hans Modrow - whose election as Prime Minister of the GDR was imminent - first secretary of the SED district leadership in Dresden. In December 1989 he was a member of the temporary working committee of the SED. Together with Wolfgang Berghofer he advocated a social democratic program and called for the dissolution of the SED. At the end of January 1990 Hahn resigned as First Secretary and left the SED-PDS.
