Hansmartin Simpfendörfer

Hansmartin Simpfendörfer (born June 22, 1934 in Creglingen ) is a German educator and politician ( SPD ).

Life

Simpfendörfer was born the son of a pastor. After attending grammar schools in Bad Mergentheim and Schwäbisch Hall , he completed the evangelical-theological seminars (grammar schools) in Maulbronn and Blaubeuren from 1949 to high school graduation in 1953 . He then took up a pedagogical degree (subjects: German, history and English), which he completed in 1959 with the first state examination and in 1961 with the second state examination for higher education. From 1961 to 1972 he worked as a teacher at the grammar school in Weikersheim . In 1965 he was promoted to the senior lecturer and in 1969 to the senior lecturer.

politics

Simpfendörfer has been a member of the SPD since October 1963. He was a council member of the city of Weikersheim and a member of the district council. In the federal election in 1972 he was elected to the German Bundestag via the state list of the SPD Baden-Württemberg . Here he was a member of the budget committee . In 1978, for personal reasons, he declared that he no longer wanted to run for the Bundestag. At the end of the electoral term, he resigned from parliament in 1980.
