Hanuš Bonn

Hanuš Bonn (pseudonym Josef Kohout ; * July 5, 1913 ; † October 20, 1941 in Mauthausen concentration camp ) was a Czech poet , literary critic and translator of prosaic publications by indigenous peoples .

Life

In 1932, he put in Prague , the High School , and then studied law until 1938. After the occupation by the Nazis , he worked actively in the Czech Jewish movement and was a leader in the Jewish community in Prague. In October 1941 he was arrested, transferred to the Mauthausen concentration camp and executed there.

Works

His works are influenced by Jiří Orten . It reflects the depressive atmosphere of pre-war Europe and its impressions, insecurities and fear. He also wrote for magazines and newspapers .
