Klitsche is a village in the unified municipality of Jerichow in the Jerichower Land district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The village of Klitsche consists of the districts Altenklitsche and Neuenklitsche , as well as the residential areas Schäferei and Wilhelmsthal.

history

The municipality of Klitsche came into being on July 1, 1950, when the previously independent municipalities of Altenklitsche and Neuenklitsche were merged.

On May 27, 2009, the local council of Klitsche decided to dissolve itself by means of a territorial change agreement and to unite with 11 other communities to form a new unified community called the City of Jerichow . This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.

At the same time, the Elbe-Stremme-Fiener administrative community ceased to exist, as all former member communities merged to form the new unified community “City of Jerichow” .

politics

The last mayor of Klitsche was Karl Kiehnscherf.

badges and flags

The coat of arms and flag were approved by the county on October 28, 2008.

Blazon : "In silver a golden armored and red-tongued blue rooster with a red crest, face and lobes on a green mountain covered with a silver wavy bar." (Note: In heraldry, lateral directions are mirrored.

Klitsche already had a picture seal in the 19th century that shows a rooster walking to the left, but this seal picture was never approved as a coat of arms. In the 20th century, the rooster appears as a coat of arms facing the right, but heraldically incorrect and also unapproved. Ultimately, the volunteer fire brigade recently attempted to depict the rooster in blue on a gold shield.

It was the decision of the municipality to bring the seal image used as a heraldic correct coat of arms into the approval process, which was implemented by the Magdeburg municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch .

The coat of arms shows three symbols: a blue rooster, an arched green shield base and a silver wave bar. In heraldry, the rooster is a symbol of the watchman and alarm clock, and it also stands for courage and the will to fight. Its direction of movement comes from the earliest presentation of the above. Image seal closest. The arched green shield base refers to the Altenklitscher mountain, about which there is even a legend, while the wavy bar symbolizes the Stremme.

The colors Klitsches are blue - silver (white) .

The flag is blue and white (1: 1) striped (horizontal shape: stripes running horizontally, lengthways shape: stripes running vertically) and has the coat of arms in the center.
