Klein-Mangelsdorf is a district of the unified municipality of Jerichow in the Jerichower Land district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The place is two kilometers northeast of Mangelsdorf and five kilometers northeast of Jerichow. It is the northernmost part of the unified municipality of Jerichow. The neighboring towns are Melkow in the northeast, Briest in the east, Großwulkow in the southeast, Schäferei in the south, Mangelsdorf in the southwest and Fischbeck (Elbe) and Kabelitz in the northwest.

history

As of December 1, 1910, the municipality of Kleinmangelsdorf had 83 residents and the manor district of the same name had 54 inhabitants. At that time, the place belonged to the Jerichow II district, Magdeburg administrative district, Saxony province in the Kingdom of Prussia.

With effect from September 30, 1928, the Kleinmangelsdorf manor district was united with the community of the same name.

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent municipalities “Großmangelsdorf” and “Kleinmangelsdorf” merged to form the new municipality of Mangelsdorf. Mangelsdorf was incorporated into the city of Jerichow on August 6, 2002 together with its district.
