action

Kelly and Jeff live a quiet life in Chicago with their two-year-old son Jude . This changes when Jeff's younger sister, Jenny, moves in with the two on short notice after separating from her boyfriend. Already on the first evening, Jenny misbehaved when she got so drunk at a party of friends of her friend Carson that Jeff had to pick her up and bring her home. However, Jenny gets a second chance. She takes care of Jude and helps Kelly, who used to work as a writer, write a new book. With her presence Jenny turns the family's life upside down, also in a positive sense.

Jenny starts an affair with Jude's babysitter Kevin, who is also a drug dealer. After an argument between the two, Jenny gets drunk and smokes marijuana , while she falls asleep on the sofa and forgets her pizza in the oven. Kelly and Jeff wake up to the alarm from the smoke detectors and are able to prevent a fire from breaking out. There is an argument and Jenny leaves the apartment. The next day, Kelly finds her in Jeff's office. She takes them back home and they celebrate Christmas together.
