Harald Aurich

Harald Fritz Aurich (born April 23, 1932 in Zwickau ; † April 10, 2005 in Halle (Saale) ) was a German biochemist .

Life

Harald Fritz Aurich was born on April 23, 1932 in Zwickau. 1950 he entered the University of Leipzig to study of human medicine , which he 1956 with the promotion for Doctor graduated in medicine. After the university in 1964 for Biochemistry him habilitation had he been biochemical lecturer at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science. He was finally appointed professor in 1968. He moved to the University of Halle as a biochemical professor in 1976, three years later they appointed him its medical prorector . Aurich stayed on until 1982. He also represented his faculty as dean since 1986 , and in 1992 he left the university. Aurich died on April 10, 2005 in Halle.

Awards and memberships

In 1966 he was awarded the Rudolf Virchow Prize and he also wore the Karl Lohmann Medal . In 1983 he was elected to the Leopoldina Scholars' Academy .
