Harald Habermann (born May 10, 1951 in Gilserberg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Harald Habermann attended the Humboldt School from 1957 to 1961 and the Albert Schweitzer School in Offenbach am Main from 1961 to 1969 . After graduating from high school, he studied economics and business education at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main from 1969 to 1974 . In the autumn of 1974 he graduated as an economist and in the autumn of 1975 as a business teacher. After completing his legal clerkship at the Groß-Gerau district vocational school and at the Theodor-Heuss-Schulein Offenbach he passed his second state examination in spring 1976 and worked as a teacher at vocational schools from summer 1976, first in Offenbach, from 1977 to 1979 at the Ludwig-Geißler-Schule in Hanau, from 1979 at the Max-Eyth-Schule in Dreieich -Jumplings. Harald Habermann has been a member of the supervisory board of the Gemeinnützige Baugesellschaft mbH Offenbach since 1981. Harald Habermann was a member of the staff council of the study seminar for teaching at vocational schools in Darmstadt II. Since 1979 he has been a member of the Education and Science Union (GEW). Harald Habermann is married and has one child.

Harald Habermann has been a member of the SPD since 1975. Since 1976 he has been a member of the board of the SPD sub-district Offenbach-Stadt and has been deputy chairman there since 1983. From 1977 to 1981 he was chairman of the Offenbach Young Socialists.

Since 1981 he was a member of the Offenbach city council. Since December 18, 1984, he was a member of the Hessian state parliament as a successor to the late Horst Engel . He ran as Engels second candidate in the Offenbach-Stadt constituency . At the end of the electoral term on February 17, 1987, the mandate ended because he was defeated by the CDU candidate Hermann Schoppe and did not take his place on the state list.
