Hermann Schoppe

Hermann Schoppe (born April 4, 1937 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and business educator.

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Schoppe completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, which he completed in 1959 with the clerk's examination. He then took up a degree in business education, which he finished with the first state examination in 1964 and the second in 1966. After he had passed the exam to become a qualified commercial teacher, he worked as a vocational school teacher from 1964 to 1978. From 1978 to 1995 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament, most recently vice-president of the state parliament. From 1989 to 2003 he was a member of the Hessian State Authority for Private Broadcasting (LPR for short). Hermann Schoppe lived in the Offenbach district of Bieber for 45 years . He has lived in Rodgau-Weiskirchen since 2017.

Political party

Schoppe has been a member of the CDU since 1965. From 1975 to 1994 he was chairman of the CDU district association Offenbach-Stadt and from 1987 to 1995 a member of the state board of the Hessian Christian Democrats.

MP

Schoppe was a council member of the city of Offenbach from 1968 to 1993. From 1978 to 1995 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament and was temporarily deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. In 1994/95 he was Vice President of the State Parliament. In the state elections in Hesse in 1982 , he managed to win the Offenbach-Stadt constituency directly, which had been held by the SPD until then. After he was elected from the state list in 1983 , he regained the constituency in 1987 and was able to hold it in 1991 .

Public offices

Schoppe was a city councilor from 1968 to 1993 and an honorary city councilor from 1993 to 2006 in the municipal authorities of Offenbach.
