Harald Kühn (politician)

Harald Kühn (born October 9, 1963 in Murnau a.Staffelsee ) is a German politician ( CSU ). He has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since 2013 , having previously been District Administrator of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district from 2002 .

Life

Kühn completed an apprenticeship as a banker after graduating from high school . After military service he studied political science and graduated with a diploma. From 1990 to 1996 he worked as a consultant in the Bavarian State Chancellery .

In the mayoral election in 1996 he was elected 1st mayor of the Murnau market. He held this office until 2002, when he was elected District Administrator of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district. He was also a member of the Upper Bavarian District Assembly from 1994 to 2013 .

After Renate Dodell renounced a renewed candidacy for the state parliament , Kühn was elected as her successor as a direct candidate in the constituency of Weilheim-Schongau in the state elections in 2013 . In this constituency he was also re-elected in the state elections in 2018 . Kühn is a member of the State Budget and Financial Affairs Committee.

Kühn is a member of the Catholic student association KSStV Alemannia Munich .
