Harald Müller (lawyer)

Harald Müller (* 1949 ) is a German legal librarian and lawyer.

Müller has a doctorate in law and a librarian , he is considered a long-standing expert in the field of library law with 157 publications and over 325 lectures. Until 2009 he was chairman of the legal commission of the German Library Association . He is currently the deputy spokesman for the Action Group on Copyright for Education and Science and a member of the Experts Group on Information Law (EGIL) of the European Bureau of Library, Information and Documentation Associations (EBLIDA), the Document Delivery and Resource Sharing Section of IFLA ( International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions ), the AG Legal Framework of the Alliance of German Science Organizations and the AG Legal at nestor , the German competence network for digital long-term archiving. Previous positions included positions in national and international library organizations such as the German Library Institute , International Association of Law Libraries (IALL), and IFLA Committee for Copyright and Legal Matters. Müller is one of the regular participants and speakers at the German Librarians ' Day, the IFLA World Library & Information Congress, the German Archives Day and other relevant events and is a lecturer in library law at the Bavarian Library Academy .

Previous professional positions

Müller is a great-grandson of the sculptor Heinrich Bauser and thus a great-great-grandson of his father Johann Bauser .
