Harald Reisenberger

Harald Emil Adolf Reisenberger (born February 7, 1957 in Vienna ; † December 16, 2009 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and a member of the Federal Council from 2001 to 2009 .

After completing compulsory schooling, Reisenberger became a full-time functionary of the Austrian Trade Union Confederation in 1975 , first as district secretary of the metal-mining-energy union , then as legal protection secretary and finally as state secretary of the Vienna FSG. Between 1979 and 1987 he was also a district councilor in Vienna-Liesing . From April 27, 2001, he represented the Federal State of Vienna in the Federal Council until his death . In the first half of 2009 he served as its president. After his sudden, unexpected death, Reisenberger was buried in the Hütteldorfer cemetery .
