Harald Tondern

Harald Tondern (born June 29, 1941 in Kupfermühle , Schleswig-Holstein ) is a German author and translator for young people.

Life

Tondern published his first short stories while he was still at school. He passed his Abitur in Itzehoe. He studied in Hamburg, Paris and Göttingen, first literature, then economics. Today he lives as a freelance author and writing coach in Hamburg and on the North Sea. In addition to stories in magazines and anthologies, Tondern has written numerous novels and radio plays. In the 1960s he wrote three novels under the pseudonym Garret Shaver Jr. for in Erich Pabel Verlag , Rastatt , published science fiction - booklet series " Utopia science fiction ".

Tondern is very active in promoting reading and writing. His reading and workshop trips took him to India and South Africa. Tondern is the honorary managing director of the Friedrich-Bödecker-Kreis in Hamburg eV Most of his novels for children and young people have teachers' books by the Hamburg literary didactic Ingrid Röbbelen.
