Harry Lillis Crosby III (born August 8, 1958 in Hollywood , Los Angeles ) is an American investment banker and former actor .

Harry Crosby was born the fifth son of Bing Crosby . He is the eldest child from Crosby's marriage to actress Kathryn Grant and the older brother of Mary and Nathaniel Crosby and the younger half-brother of Gary , Dennis, Phillip and Lindsay Crosby; the uncle of Denise Crosby and the nephew of Larry and Bob Crosby .

He was in front of the camera as a child and has appeared alongside his father on numerous episodes of the television program The Bing Crosby Show since 1970 . From 1977 to 1980 Crosby attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in London . As a result, he was also seen in several other film and television productions: he played one of the teenagers in the horror classic Friday the 13th in 1980 and appeared in an episode of the sitcom Double Trouble in 1984 .

In the mid-1980s, Crosby decided to reorient his career and turned his back on acting. In 1985 he graduated from Fordham University with a degree in economics . In 1987 he began his career as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers in New York City , where he worked his way up to managing director over the years. In the 1990s he held senior positions at Merrill Lynch , serving clients such as Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. , Carlyle Group and Bain Capital .

Also in the 2000s, Crosby changed companies several times and was involved in various large-scale investment businesses in North America and Europe over the years .

Crosby is a board member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York.
