Harry Jochmus

Heinrich "Harry" Jochmus (born April 28, 1855 in Harburg , † 1915 in Lüneburg ) was a German painter.

Jochmus was a grandson of the chief bailiff in the Lüneburg office Philipp Wilhelm Jochmus (1765-1847). He studied from 1875 to 1885 at the Royal Prussian Art Academy in Düsseldorf , including in Wilhelm Sohn's master studio . He was a member of the Düsseldorf artists' association Malkasten .

After graduating, he visited Holland , France and Italy . From 1886 to 1907 he worked in Munich , later he moved to Lüneburg.

Jochmus was regularly represented with his works at the exhibitions of the Royal Academy of Arts in Berlin and in the Munich Glass Palace .
