Harry Joe Brown
Harry Joe Brown (born September 22, 1890 in Pittsburgh , United States , † April 28, 1972 in Palm Springs , California , United States) was an American film producer and director. He was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 .
Life
Harry Joe Brown studied at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and at Syracuse University in New York . He was married to actress Sally Eilers from 1933 to 1943 and had a son. In another marriage he was married to the actress Dorothy Gray .

Brown founded his production company Harry Joe Brown Productions in 1925 . He has produced 143 films and series episodes and has directed 48 films. Brown has since worked for Universal Studios and Paramount Pictures . From 1943 to 1968 he worked for Columbia Pictures .
