Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is an action adventure game by Electronic Arts (EA) released for Windows in 2007 . In the game, the task is to solve various missions and puzzles in the very famous Harry Potter universe , which is about students in the Hogwarts Magic School. It's the fifth installment in EA's Harry Potter video game series. Visually and in its plot, the game is based on the film adaptation of Joanne K. Rowling's fifth novel in her bestseller series.
Gameplay
The three-dimensional game is played in the third person view . You can control the main character Harry Potter with the keyboard or with the gamepad through his magic school and perform various spells with the mouse or controller buttons. In the course of the game you have to solve different missions mostly by performing different spells and reaching certain points in the complex multi-storey school, which mainly consists of a castle.

The direct successor is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009). This was followed by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1 and 2 (2010, 2011). The last parts are much more action-based and have a smaller focus on puzzles and exploration than Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix .
