Harry Scheuenstuhl (born December 3, 1961 in Wilhermsdorf ) is a German SPD politician . From 2013 to 2018 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Scheuenstuhl attended elementary and secondary school in Wilhermsdorf, later the secondary school and technical college in Fürth . At the junior high school and the technical college he acted as a student representative, later also as a student representative at the University of Applied Sciences in Nuremberg. He graduated with a degree in technical chemistry and passed the state examination to become an environmental engineer. This was followed by a two-year training course to become a specialist for the upscale civil engineering and environmental administrative service at the Free State of Bavaria. During this time he worked for the state trade institute in Nuremberg , the water management office in Ansbach , the government of Middle Franconia , the trade supervisory office in Nuremberg and the state office for environmental protection in Munich . In 1989 he successfully passed his state examination, he worked at the district office in Ansbach .

politics

Scheuenstuhl was first chairman of the Young Socialists , later of the SPD in his home community of Wilhermsdorf . There he moved into the local council in 1990 before he became mayor of the market town in 1996. He was confirmed in this office in 2002 and 2008. Since 2011 he has been the district chairman of the SPD in the Fürth district , and the following year he became its spokesman in the district council, to which he has been a member since 1996. In the state elections in 2013 , he ran for the direct mandate in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim, Fürth-Land and ultimately moved into the state parliament via the constituency list.

Personal

Scheuenstuhl is the son of a master mechanic and a retail saleswoman. He grew up with his three brothers. He is now married to a head doctor and has three children.
