Hartmann I. also Hartmannus (* 11th century ; † January 2, 1114 ) was the first abbot of the Göttweig monastery from 1094 to 1114 .

Under Abbot Uto von Kyburg , the first fundamental new construction of the St. Blasien Monastery was started with a document dated September 11, 1094 . At the same time, on the instructions of Pope Urban II and Bishop Ulrich I of Passau, he sent prior Hartmann to Göttweig to convert the local canon monastery into a Benedictine monastery.

Before joining the St. Blasien Monastery , he was provost of the St. Nikola Monastery in Passau around 1074 . He then became court chaplain to King Rudolf von Rheinfelden and after the reform of Göttweig around 1094 to 1096 abbot of St. Ulrich and Afra in Augsburg, then 1103 to 1106/09 in St. Lambrecht Abbey and in Kempten Abbey around 1109 to 1114. He was also involved in the reforms in Garsten Abbey and Formbach Abbey .
