The Hartmannberge are a mountain range in the far north-west of Namibia . The Hartmannberge belong to the Kaokoveld and as communal land are owned by the local Himba village communities .

The Hartmannberge are bordered in the west by the Hartmann valley, which is already part of the sandy Skeleton Coast , and in the east by the greener Marienfluss valley , which is also known for fairy circles. To the east of this valley are the Otjihipa Mountains . In the north, the Hartmann Mountains reach as far as the Kunene River , which forms the border with Angola . The mountains are named after Georg Hartmann (1865–1946), who explored the entire area around the turn of the century.

For visitors, the Hartmannberge can be reached from Opuwo via Van Zyl's Pass . In the Hartmann Valley there is also an airfield and not far from the confluence of the Kunene and Marien River near Okarohombo there is a tent camp with overnight accommodation.
