Harvey Miller

Harvey Miller (born June 15, 1935 in New York City , † January 9, 1999 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American screenwriter .

Life

Miller appeared as a screenwriter for television from the late 1960s. Before that he worked as a gag writer. In the 1950s he was stationed in Germany as a member of the army. As a writer and director he was u. a. from 1970 involved in several episodes of the series Männerwirtschaft . Further work for film and television followed. Most recently he directed the film Schwer suspicious in 1996 .

His work on the screenplay for Schütze Benjamin earned him an Oscar nomination in 1981 for Best Original Screenplay . He also won the Writers Guild of America Award from the Writers Guild of America together with Nancy Meyers and Charles Shyer . He was also involved in the film as a producer.
