The Harz-Weser-Werke (formerly Harz-Weser-Werkstätten ) are a non-profit social service company based in Osterode am Harz . Most of the employees are people with disabilities .
To integrate people with disabilities into working life, the Harz-Weser-Werke operate workshops in Osterode am Harz, Northeim and Dassel as well as in Holzminden with a focus on work, vocational training and qualification. By participating in working life or taking part in daily structuring offers, there is the possibility of social and societal integration. Appropriate design of the framework conditions and workplaces give people the opportunity to develop practical, practical and social skills.

The HaWe-Integra subsidiary was founded in 2002 as an integration company to pave the way for people with disabilities to enter the general labor market. The first day care center was opened in Osterode am Harz in 2000. The non-profit subsidiary STArQ für Menschen offers qualification opportunities for people in special problem situations. At the end of 2018, the company renamed itself from Harz-Weser-Werkstätten gGmbH to Harz-Weser-Werke gGmbH .
